I've gotten in the habit of switching to another virtual desktop and checking Backblaze every time there's a hitch in my stream, because 90% of the time, it's Backblaze being a bandwidth hog. Backblaze does not know how to share bandwidth and will interrupt my GFN stream to the point that the session closes out because the connection is too bad. This is a pretty flawless experience, right up until the second Backblaze kicks off a backup, which happens with quite some regularity, especially when playing games that save highlight clips. I also play games on it a lot through GeForce Now game streaming. Hello! Long time Backblazer first time caller and so on! I understand that it's common to have to wait some hours for new files to appear in the dashboard, but now it's been multiple days. I've even tried reformatting the drive at the suggestion of Customer Support, but the problem persists. And neither does adding a text file to the drive to jumpstart the backup. Clicking "Backup Now" also does nothing to solve the issue. To make matters more frustrating, the client keeps saying that "all files have been backed up" and "Remaining files: 0 files / 0 kb" even though this is clearly not the case. This has been the case despite keeping the drive connected to my laptop for most of the last few days. Since August 5, the dashboard has shown that only 2 of the 10 folders of this drive have been uploaded. I then connected the new SSD to Backblaze. On August 4, I migrated the contents of my old SSD to a newer, larger SSD. Recently, however, I've had some issues with the external hard drive backup. ![]() ![]() ![]() I use this service to backup my Macbook Air as well as one of my external hard drives. Hello, everyone! I've been using the Backblaze personal backup service, with forever settings, for a while now.
